  • Registered Massage Therapy

    Massage Therapy is defined as “the assessment of the soft tissue and joints of the body and the treatment and prevention of physical dysfunction and pain of the soft tissue and joints by manipulation to develop, maintain, rehabilitate or augment physical function, or relieve pain.” This is referred to as the Scope of Practice.

    Massage Therapy treatment has a therapeutic effect on the body, general health and overall well-being. Massage Therapy may be used to maintain and improve physical health and can also ease the effects of physical pain. (CMTO.com, 2023)

  • Manual Lymph Drainage

    Provided by Baylea Mahoney, RMT.

    Manual lymph drainage (Vodder technique) is a gentle, non-invasive manual technique that encourages lymph flow from the tissues to the lymph nodes. MLD is used to ease swelling and relieve discomfort, specifically post-injury and during pregnancy. Treatment can be 45 or 60 minutes, and can be a full body treatment or focus on a specific area of concern.

  • Registered Acupuncture

    Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese medicine is a useful holistic tool, to heal the body naturally. The needles are Inserted into the body, at specific locations to stimulate circulation, blood, and the immunity. The Acupuncturist uses the needles to stimulate and balance the flow of energy, known as Qi, to promote healing and alleviate various physical and emotional conditions

    This is a holistic approach to health care, to consider the inter connectedness of the body, mind and spirit.

    Kirsten incorporates other complementary therapies such as cupping, Gua Sha, massage and moxibustion.

  • Physiotherapy: Pelvic Floor and Orthopedic

    Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy involves the assessment and treatment of conditions related to the pelvic floor muscles, which support the bladder, uterus, and rectum. This specialized physiotherapy addresses issues such as incontinence, pelvic pain, and postpartum recovery. Treatment may include exercises to strengthen or relax pelvic muscles, education about pelvic health, and strategies to manage symptoms. A must for pregnant and postpartum people.

    Orthopedic Physiotherapy focuses on musculoskeletal issues, including injuries related to bones, joints, ligaments, and tendons. It is commonly employed to assist individuals recovering from surgery, sports injuries, or chronic pain conditions. Through a combination of manual therapy, exercise prescription, and various modalities, physiotherapists aim to restore mobility, strength, and facilitate the body's natural healing processes.
